It's official... I have exercise equipment in my house. I admittedly fell off the Insanity wagon, and I am even more out of shape than before. I have a muffin top. Seriously, it looks like I am three months pregnant.
Body Champ Cardio Dual Trainer, $279.99 |
I've always liked doing the bike and elliptical at the gym, but I need something that I can do at home when I'm being a bum. Insanity is great, and I'm willing to try it again, because I really felt stronger and showed improvement... it works because I have indoor workout shoes and I can do the program on the television.
That said, exercise equipment is expensive. I scoured Craigslist for weeks for something suitable and debated whether I should go with the bike or elliptical. Something for cardio.
Then I found a dual trainer on Amazon that would allow me to do either bike OR elliptical... a 2-in-1 machine! It did require assembly (I had help with mine) and it's not the caliber of machine you'll see in the gym... it wobbles a little and the screen isn't super high-tech. But it does the job, it's not too big, and I like it! I need something to stare at me every day... so I put it in my formal dining room. :)
It's not super-cheap, but it's very inexpensive compared to most exercise bikes/ellipticals, and I've spent more on a purse before. So I figured it's a decent investment, especially considering how much I need to lose some weight. Here's hoping!
I love using an elliptical machine for my cardio workouts. It is a smooth motion that has limited impact on the body. I love mine!
