(check out the vintage shot of me, AW, and Mom!) |
Yesterday, Mom & I ran some errands, and visited Dad at the office. The whole family went to lunch at O'Charley's; I love their loaded potato soup. Then AW and I headed downtown for a little shopping! I really wanted to check out the new Vintage Vogue store, which I heard about on What I Wore. It's a new Goodwill concept store where the better pieces (brand-name and vintage, clothing/accessories/home) are collected from the area and focused into one higher-end store. It happened to be 50% that day, so it was packed with people! I don't know if it's really a 'vintage' store, but it was definitely better stuff than your local Goodwill. I picked up a couple of shirts. We also stopped by Greetings, Le Petit Cafe, and Blu Boy. I HAD to get a raspberry rose macaron at Blu Boy. It was DIVINE.
Later, the whole family went to see "Thor" at the movie theater. Dad and I wanted to see it, but we had to nudge Mom and AW to go with us. I thought it was okay; not what I expected, but a fun action movie with a romantic sub-plot. Predictable, but not a bad way to spend an evening! This morning, Dad's making our traditional Sunday morning pancake breakfast, AW and I are getting Mom's Mother's Day gifts together, then we're all headed south for a family gathering at Grandma's. I don't get home enough. Time flies when I'm here! Loving my time in Hoosierland; Bloomington will always be home.
So Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there, including the mothers to "fur babies" like my sweet kitty Cally! It's your day, relax and enjoy it. I know I'm loving it right now.
Cally wanted to come with me... that's my fur baby! |
P.S. Surprising someone, as well as scanning photos from Mom & Dad's albums, are two of my Before I'm 30 tasks! Two more down!
Love your blog!!! And happy mother's day to a fellow 'fur baby' mother :). Hope it was awesome! (And on the last post-- no worries on the GMAT-- I did averagely on my GRE but still got into my two top-choice grad schools.)

Thanks for the encouragement, Abigail!!! I am going to take it again, but I am hoping my experience and previous education help boost my chances of getting into a good school.
