I take photos constantly.  My friends know I'm basically the paparazzi.  And while I think I'm finding balance, I love to document my life and voyages and loved ones.

But, unlike many people who take a zillion photos and leave them to languish on photo CDs or memory cards (Mom! *cough cough*), I create photo books.  If I do a big trip, I give that vacation a book of its own.  Otherwise, I create semi-annual yearbooks of sorts.  I was never a dedicated enough scrapbooker to do all the fancy cutouts and pretty papers, but I really love putting photo books together and having them printed for future perusing.

Lately, I'm absolutely in love with Shutterfly.  In the past, I've shopped around for deals (Snapfish and Picaboo- okay, Printerpix- terrible customer service, Apple- expensive) but I think I've finally settled in with Shutterfly.

I love their layouts, ability to customize, and all the little scrapbook-like add-ins they create!  They also have tons of different items to buy, from phone cases to canvas to ornaments to calendars and whatnot.  (I think I need an afghan blanket of my cat, right?)  Not only that, but there's almost always a promotion happening that can get you free shipping, major discounts, and more.  So I plan to build my albums, then wait for sales to purchase them.  It's a win-win.

I recently did my friend's entire wedding album as a gift... which she loved!  It feels good to make something that she and her family will treasure for years.

Don't let your photos sit in Facebook albums.  Create something beautiful for your coffee table or wall.  Your great-grandkids probably won't be on Facebook to see your photos; leave something behind that's pretty and organized for them to see what life was like for you.  It's too easy, and not as pricey as you'd think!

Movie Review: #Skyfall

I grew up watching James Bond movies with my father (Remember TBS's "15 Days of 007" in the '90s?) and have always been a fan of the franchise.  My favorite bond?  It was also Sean Connery.

But then Daniel Craig showed up and rocked my world.  I had my doubts at first (he's blond!) but Casino Royale was just fantastic.  I missed Quantum of Solace somehow (I'll have to Netflix it) but was excited to catch Skyfall with my parents.  We were in one of the giant theatres at my local cinema, and the screen was just phenomenal.

I had heard the movie was long, but I didn't even notice.  I was just riveted to the screen, and I think I enjoyed it almost as much as Casino Royale!  It's a must-see, and definitely a crowd-pleaser.  Javier Bardem was an incredible villain; creepy and genius all in one.

Definitely catch this while it's in theaters!

And my apologies to Sean Connery.  I think he has been deposed as my favorite Bond.  But he will always be my first Bond crush!

Leggings... for a steal!

$8 at Walmart!

I'm a fan of leggings.  I hate to admit it, but leggings and a long top or sweatshirt are my airport uniform.

But there are definitely some wrong ways to wear leggings... Some leggings are really meant to be tights, even opaque ones.  I saw one poor girl who thought her opaque tights would suffice as pants, but when she bent over you could see through them, straight to her underwear!  Yikes.

I see leggings as something comfortable to work into layering.  I love how comfortable they are.

And lately, my favorite airport leggings are only $8/pair at Walmart!  I've been wearing the Danskin Now ankle-length leggings (I have three pairs in black), and they are great.  They're thick enough to keep you warm and prevent any see-through incidents, and you could even used them as yoga pants.  They're much better than the other cheapo leggings I've bought from Forever21 and Old Navy over the years.  They fly off the shelves at Walmart, and now I can see why.

So if you're looking for some decent leggings at a great price, pick up a few of these!
