CREATING...
Vocabulary flashcards for Korean class! I've started up Korean class again after the school's summer break, though I feel crappy because my attendance is meh. It's every Saturday afternoon, and this is a very busy season of my life on weekends! Still, every little bit I spend learning helps. My goal is to be diligent and teach myself what I miss when I'm not in class, to keep up.
FINDING...
I'm finding time to read. Magazines, books, things just for ME. It is a nice escape.
SWITCHING...
Nail polish colors! I saw Fran's review of Essie's new gel polish, so I picked up a couple of colors that I wear frequently. They're so much easier to remove than actual gels, and I've been really impressed. The brush is flat and larger, like the Sally Hansen polish I preferred before. It was good enough it prompted me to get rid of some of my aging polish. The only issue I have is a lack of patience waiting for layers to dry, anyone have a good drying technique?
FORGETTING...
...why we live in the 'burbs. Nashville is such a cool town. But then again, living our quiet hermit life and choosing to venture 25 minutes drive north when we choose to is kind of nice too. And we both live within 3 miles of work, so that's a huge commuting plus! So maybe I didn't forget, I just wonder sometimes what it would be like to live in a hipper (pricier) neighborhood.
CRAVING...
I'm seriously craving the incredible food we had at City House last night. I can't wait to write a post about it! It's a restaurant in Nashville that recently won a James Beard award, but the food is really unpretentious and just plain yum.
THIS PAST WEEK...
- On the Blog: I reviewed another meal kit service (like Plated and Blue Apron) called Martha & Marley Spoon, the Martha Stewart partnership service. It wasn't my favorite, but it has some great features!
- On Twitter: I'm turning into my mother.
- On Instagram: I had a case of the Mondays, so I ate cheesecake for lunch.
- Shopping: I'm starting to look at sweaters because FALL is coming! I feel like a shawl vest could be a great layering piece. I checked out this camel one, this cranberry belted one, and this *steal* fringed one.
What are you up to this Sunday?
