Sunday Lately: Planning, Loving, Reading, Wishing, Feeling

It's midterms lately here in my house for my LAST TWO grad school courses, so while I've drafted some blog posts up, it's been slow going.  But I'm of the mind that blogging is my creative outlet and hobby (I work full time, have leadership roles in two non-profits, and have been doing two Master's Degrees the past two years  broken record here, people) so I believe that if I don't feel like blogging, I just don't!

Lately, including today, I felt like blogging!

I continue to use my Levenger Circa smartPlanner as my main planner, and outside of my Outlook calendar for work, it has now replaced iCal for me as my main scheduler.  It feels kind of backwards in this day and age to go back to paper, but there's something about being able to doodle in my planner that helps keep me in order!  And this one has worked for me where some others (Erin Condren LifePlanner, Midori) have not.  I also use my Delta app to track my flights, because it holds ever reservation you've made... IMPORTANT for my life!

I've already been to Arizona this month.  So far, I also have flights scheduled for San Antonio, Tampa, and Austin, flights that still need to be purchased for Orlando, Dallas, and D.C., and possibly another trip up or two to Michigan on the horizon, all between now and the end of June!  Lots to plan.

While I don't love winter weather in Nashville (they just don't know how to handle it, other than to shut down), I do LOVE looking at my phone and seeing that my husband and I have barely texted at all lately, i.e. we've been together and can talk rather than text!  I worked from home on Friday, and Dan got a snow day, so it meant more time in each other's company.

I haven't read many books lately (I blame grad school) but I read a lot of magazines!  I only subscribed to a few magazines, mostly due to $5 subscription costs or just plain dedication (Food & Wine is dedication, and I got $5 subscriptions to Real Simple and Money), and most of the magazines I read are via my local library for FREE on my iPad.  My library has Zinio for Libraries, so I get my favs like O Magazine, Weight Watchers, Food Network, and more to my iPad for free.  It's perfect for all the plane rides I take, as you can download them ahead of time for reading offline.

I kind of wish I had a house of our own, so I could paint walls and get into decorating.  But then I remember that I don't want a house for another 3-5 years, that I don't have the time or cash to decorate, and I just have Instagram/Pinterest/HGTV envy.  I swear this needs to be diagnosed as a true condition.

I've been feeling a little bit overwhelmed, which is usual for me in the first quarter of the year.  There's so much going on at work, plus school and other commitments, my body has been feeling fatigued.  I've been perking myself up with new makeup and skin purchases, new shampoo, Korean sheet masks, etc.  I've also been doing better with my diet, which I think is starting to help.  We'll see!
