Weekly TV Rundown

I love this show. (Oh, and it's on SUNDAYS,
This is not what this poster says!)
This is really delayed, since I went home for a week for my Grandma's funeral services... my parents don't have DVR, and frankly I didn't watch a lot of TV.  If there's no rundown here, I'll let you know my thoughts next week!

Our America with Lisa Ling:  OMG the polygamy episode was awesome.  Polygamy/plural marriage documentaries are a guilty pleasure of mine.  I don't know why, but this particular subculture in the U.S. fascinates me.  Lisa Ling does such a great job of objective reporting, and people really choose to open up to her because of it.  I didn't like all of the people she interviewed, but it definitely let us see another side of the 'story' that we may not have been privy to before.

The Sing Off:  I wasn't into hip-hop night... or the fact that this show still lasts two hours.  The group I felt should go home went home that night.  That same can't be said for the next week, the medleys.  First off, the Halloween medley was AWESOME, especially the Tim Burton shoutout 'This Is Halloween'!  I really enjoyed this show because I was with my friends, and we were discussing the commentary as the show progressed.  We all felt like Pentatonix is the group to beat, though we have a soft spot for Delilah.  We did think Urban Method should have gone home, and that the Yellow Jackets did better than they did.  That said, I don't think either group would win, so it's time to weed out the all-boy groups that are way too big to fit on an album cover anyways.

P.S.  Did anyone else spot the Darren Criss (Blaine from Glee) lookalike within the Yellow Jackets?  Uncanny!  (His name is Michael Pittman; he tweeted to me later!)

Glee:  Check out the latest here!

The Little Couple:  I love the Q&A episode!  Jen and Bill are so real and so funny.  The latest episode, on their surrogacy, was just devastating.  The extraction of Jen's eggs was so tedious and painful, and she can't produce a lot of eggs; the loss of their baby so soon after implantation was so sad to watch.  I truly feel for them.

Project Runway:  Check out my review of the finale here.

In other TV commentary...
Kim Kardashian filed for divorce, 72 days after their wedding and shortly after the wedding episode of her reality show aired.  Did I call it, or did I call it?

P.S.  I'm thinking of quitting a regularly weekly rundown and only commenting when an episode particularly strikes me... (with the exception of Glee and Project Runway, and the two Real Housewives shows I watch, of course!)
